“Mike” Myron M. Roy, Jr., died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday evening. He was 65.
Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Myron and Anita (O’Brien) Roy. Mike served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his service he lived on the Cape, North Dakota and in Florida. He returned and worked in Medford at DeLuca Realty and later worked with PepsiCo and also worked as a construction manager, until his retirement. For nearly 25 years Mike worked part-time at the Boston Garden selling souvenirs. Mike was especially devoted to his wife and family and was a great friend to many.
The beloved husband of June (Ferrera) Roy, he was a devoted and loving father to Marissa Roy of Medford and a loving grandfather to Joseph. The dear brother of Christine Napolitano of NH, Susan Stewart of Florida and Stephen Roy of Chelsea, he was also a dear brother-in-law to Mark Ferrera of Medford, Linda Ausiello of N. Attleboro and the late Frank Ausiello. A loving uncle to Leigh and Hope Ausiello, Mike also leaves many other loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Monday evening, September 9th, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, from 4 – 7, concluding with a service at 7 PM.
